Your session

From initial booking to the final viewing, I’ll work with you to make sure the process runs smoothly and effortlessly, ensuring your newborn photo session is a wonderful experience for you and your baby.

Most of my clients book in when they are 20-30 weeks pregnant. Occasionally I have availability at short notice but I cannot guarantee it, so booking your session as far in advance as possible will avoid disappointment. When you book, we will agree a tentative date 10-28 days after baby’s due date then we will confirm the actual date once your baby arrives. Please note that my session fee is due at the time of booking. Once you’re booked in, I’ll send you some information including my newborn session guide, my terms and conditions and a pre-session questionnaire so I can plan a bespoke session tailored to you and your baby.

To ensure your session is everything you want it to be, we will have a phone consultation to discuss colours, props and your vision for your session. Knowing the colour schemes of your home and your favourite colours will help me create sets to complement your home.

With an extensive collection of props, wraps and accessories in a variety of colours, your baby's photoshoot will be a unique reflection of your style and vision. Whether you are looking for a classic, timeless look or a more creatively designed theme, I have an array of choices which allows me to create stunning, one-of-a-kind images.

 We’ll also discuss the best space in your home for setting up my mobile studio, using equipment designed to safely recreate a professional studio set-up in any home. I will require a minimum 6ft by 5ft space with the ability to adjust the natural lighting in the room if needed.

Your bespoke newborn photography session will be relaxed, baby-led and last between two to three hours, once I’ve completed the studio set-up which takes approximately twenty minutes. As a specialist newborn photographer, I know how important it is to make sure your baby is comfortable and contact. That’s why I’ll work at the pace of your baby, including taking breaks for feeding and changing. I only book one session a day to ensure that it is a calm experience and I can take time capturing the perfect images.

After your session, I will select the best images and personally edit each one to create fine art photographs for you to choose from. While your images straight out of camera will be beautiful, every image I present in your final gallery will have been expertly and professionally retouched in my home editing room, which I affectionately call my digital darkroom. Using my custom designed fine art style, I’ll enhance each image with colour balance and skin perfecting techniques to create a flawless final product.

Three weeks after your photoshoot, I’ll invite you to view your online gallery using a secure personalised link accessed using a PIN code. I’ll also offer you a complimentary viewing and product selection session in the comfort of your home. These sessions are ideal if you’re unsure what images to select as I’ll be on hand to help you choose the perfect photos to print. I’ll also bring samples of my product range to help you decide.

From mounted prints ready for you to frame, to wall art and albums, your final order will be ready around two to three weeks after you place your order for you to enjoy at home. My pricing includes personal home delivery which I will arrange for you once your products have arrived.
